QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL Quality Assurance and Control The data produced by Neilson Research Corporation are used to protect the general public, protect the environment, and to make major social and financial decisions. We accept the ethical responsibility to ensure that everything produced by NRC is of the highest quality. For more than 25 years we have earned the trust of our clients through hard work, integrity, fairness, and through our commitment to analytical excellence. At Neilson Research Corporation, we are committed to generating unquestionable data, and have developed a comprehensive quality assurance program that details our methods and practices. Staff Commitment We recognize that the pristine quality of our product requires a commitment by everyone in the company. In each department, every individual is committed to provide the best analytical data possible. Each member of our staff is highly skilled, extensively trained in standard operating procedures, has demonstrated competence, and submits to periodic unannounced inspections of their work. Quality Assurance Officer Our QA Officer reports directly to the President and has final responsibility for data quality. With support from department managers, the QA officer supervises the entire Quality System, including review and revision of the Quality Manual. Quality Manual We are proud of our Quality Manual which outlines specific protocols for sample handling and storage, chain-of-custody documentation, laboratory analyses, and data reporting. All policies and procedures have been structured according to the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) standards and adhere to all state and federal requirements. Proficiency Testing As part of our ongoing laboratory proficiency testing, Neilson Research Corporation performs Proficiency Testing (PTs) twice each year for the water matrices established by the EPA. Additional proficiency testing is performed twice yearly with analytes and matrices based on the current scope of our ever-expanding laboratory services. Internal Audits Each department is subject to regular comprehensive audit. Quality Assurance activities are performed in each department to verify that all analytical data reported will be scientifically sound, legally defensible, of documented quality, and will accurately reflect the samples submitted for analysis. In addition to periodic audits, Quality Control procedures are systematically applied throughout the testing process, and continually honed for added security.
